Two day update

Hi everyone
Really pleased to tell you all that these last two days have been great (aside for the odd illness's of a few members, please continue to pray for our health.) We have rested up well and are getting on great and really looking forward to the next couple of days when we will start to lead our ministries. Please pray for us as we embark on those aspects of the trip and also that we continue to stay healthy and rested so that we can fully engage in the tasks ahead and show the people out here the good news and the relevant news that will touch their lives.

Welcome

Hello all and welcome to the sbc youth Philippines trip blog. Here you will be able to follow what we are doing on the trip and find out more information about the trip as well as having the opportunity to give more support.
As I'm sure you all know a group of twelve young people connected to Stopsley Baptist Church are headed off to the Philippines next Tuesday to work alongside two organisations (Youth Mobilisation and IT Tender) with whom SBC has strong links. We will be helping to serve them in a number of ways; by offering ministry to them and helping to train them and give them guidance in their ministry. We will also be helping them with their outreach ministries where they offer and provide; learning, healthcare, teaching and feeding programmes to the most impoverished and malnourished street-children and families living on the streets.
We on the team would like to offer our massive thanks to everyone who helped us in our efforts to raise the necessary funds for the trip and would really appreciate your continued support and prayers as we prepare to leave and during our time in the Philippines.

For those who would like to know more or who missed our fundraising there will be photo's on this blog of some of our fundraising efforts and of the trip that was undertaken last year which gives a flavour of the work we will be doing.
